New Ayrshire Interest Book
A new book, entitled: The Lost Mining Villages of Doon Valley - Voices and Images of Ayrshire, which reflects life in what have become known in Ayrshire as the Lost Mining Villages of Doon Valley, because they no longer exist, was published on October 26 2012 by Barrmill Jolly Beggars Burns Club and the autyhor, Donald L Reid. Book Launch
Thursday 27 January from 7-9 pm in Beith Library
Everyone is cordially invited to attend when copies (softback £8.99 and hardback £14.99) will be available.
This book has 31 fascinating chapters and over 180 photographs. The cover is in colour and there is also a full colour section in the book comprising mainly photos taken by the ace photographers of Beith Camera Club.
